Is personal training for me?

Emma tailors her programmes for every age, fitness level, ability and attitude. Her clients range from children to pensioners and from those new to training through to clients with a high level of fitness who feel they have got stuck in their ways. If you are looking to increase your fitness, work on your strength and conditioning, add variety to your training, reduce stress or lose weight then hiring a personal trainer could be of great value to you. As they are based at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate you can get the advantages of training at the gym with them without having to pay membership fees.

How does the process work?

There are three stages to the PT & Therapy personal training process:

Session 1 – Consultation. We offer a free, no obligation consultation where your levels of fitness are assessed, potential goals discussed and queries answered. Your personal trainer will explain how they work and what equipment you might use together and you can decide if they are the right personal trainer for you.

Session 2 – Assessment. Once you have given the go ahead for the training, Emma will conduct a full assessment including health screening. All clients will have their blood pressure checked and be tested with a Tanita BC-601 which checks your body’s composition including total body fat and muscle mass. As the assessment is tailored to each client, other tests may be given if relevant and all the tests are repeated periodically throughout your time with your trainer to measure your progress. Finally, firm goals will be set so you both know exactly where you are heading together.  

Section 3 – Training. Now the real fun starts! Once you and your trainer have set goals and assessed your current level of fitness, you can kick off your own individual training routine to reach your goals in the way that is most effective and safe for you personally. You will be tested, you will have fun and you will improve your fitness levels – sound good? Get in touch!

How much will it cost?

After your free consultation, we can work out how much your personal training programme will cost. There is no set rate as each client has a bespoke programme tailored to them.
