Emma has been my personal trainer for the last four years.  The results that I have achieved to date are largely due to Emma’s combination of diverse training methods, individualised exercise programmes and challenging yet achievable goal setting. Emma is at all times professional, knowledgeable and her enthusiasm is infectious.

Dumbbell Session

In the Gym it is always good to work your muscles as well as your Heart and Lungs.

Weight training is suitable for both men and women. Many women are worried of taking it up for fear that increased muscle will make them look bulky and masculine.

Women have a very low level of the testosterone hormone in their muscles which means they develop differently to men, which means little resistance training will not lead to a bulky, butch physique.

Recently research shows that resistance (or weight ) training can greatly reduce a number of health risks in the human body.

There has been proof that it has a positive affect on insulin resistance, blood pressure, body fat, resting metabolism and gastrointestinal transit time, factors that are all linked to illnesses such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
